Hot! Hot! The Hottest 4 Minutes…
Elixir of youth
Into the groove
Bend-it acrobatics
Bleeding Love
Weird Burning Kiss
What’s hot and fashionable? That must be the new video to Madonna’s latest single, 4 Minutes featuring Justin Timberlake. The video just had its world premiere today and it really is one of Madonna’s best videos. Justin’s got the move, Madonna’s got the look – the dream combination that’s sizzling hot.
Madonna. Multi-platinum artist, Grammy winner, Rock and Roll Hall of Fame inductee, dancer, video visonary, documentary director, children’s book author, fashion designer, rock solid live performer. Someone her age should not look as stunning as she does in the 4 Minutes video and the way she moves that body, she’s one hell of a lady!
See the incredible video directed by acclaimed French duo Jonas & François where Madonna + Justin get into the groove, swing and gyrate to Timbaland’s hot beat while escaping from being slowly engulfed by a black consuming force. Some weird imageries too. Warner Bros. is now busy putting down the video on YouTube.

Organic!

Organics by Origins (quite a mouthful there) is the first full line of prestige skin, body and hair care products to be certified under the consistently stringent standards of the USDA National Organic Program.
Sounds absolutely real and fresh…with a very minimalist design. Each product has at least 50% organic ingredients with some tipping over 90% of wholesome goodness. Would like to give them a try soon.Time to whip out the member card!

Ashley Isham Fashion Show
Just came back from the Ashley Isham Fashion Show at Taka. Well, the make-good-in-London Ashley has a rather eclectic collection ranging from the basic black and white to sequins and patterned shreds and high-tech shimmery metallic pieces. What I like most are the black and white pieces and the selection of runway music. Of course, there were members of the high society and a few good-looking people.

Asian Beauty at Asian Film Festival
Came across this lovely entry on this blog.
The modern asian women are indeed looking all confident and really to rock the world!
Notice something common with these women?
Less is more when you walk the red carpet.
The design of the dresses were simple. The makeup was barely there!
I love how “barely there” makeup is hitting the red carpet again.
Like I have written before, for “barely there” makeup to happen for you, you need to work on your skin.
Drink lots of water, stay away from coffee, stop the smoking and get lots of sleep.
After that, invest in a good skincare regime that you will follow through. When I say invest, it does not mean buy expensive products. Of course, if you can afford, go for it. If not, affordable brands work as well. Personally I would recommend Cle De Peau Beaute La Creme. A little goes a long way. Anti-aging starts today! Also try L’occitane Immortalle Range for brightening which is much needed for asian skin!
And for those of you who want faster and more immediate results, there is always aesthetics. That will be a separate entry all together! So much to talk about aesthetics!
So here you go, 5 “barely there” faces with lots of stories to tell. Don’t we all love women who are comfortable in their own skin?

White is Love
White love. My fetish for all things white (and pure, haha) hit an all time high this past week. Purchased two pairs of white / cream footwear including this pair of funky boots from Irregular Choice at a special price! I really like them. And this other pair of all white black-laced shoes. Of course, there’s really the pain of having to keep them pristine and clean after wearing them , given that I am super anal-retentive when it comes to this.
Now the next picture, the white YSL Besace Flap bag is gorgeous. I have always wondered why it’s the IT bag of the moment until I saw it in person in YSL. The grey looks good; the gold is quite alright, but the white is a totally different story. And it’s a messenger. Stunning!

Wear Palettes
Came across this brilliant blog where colors rule! While it shows how fashion translates colors, I thought this blog serves as a good guide for ladies who are clueless about eye makeup colors too.
Eye makeup can be a lot of fun! Start experimenting!

Less Is More?
Less is not necessary more this Fall when it comes to make up.
Just take a look at these new wave neon colors at John Galliano and Christian Dior.
For those of you who are not aware, John Galliano is the man behind Christian Dior. Check out the colors in these two collections.
Before you head down to the M.A.C counter to get a makeover, you can DIY these looks at home.
1. For make up that stays longer, you’ll need to get a good base. First base is your own skin, cleanse, tone and moisturise. Second base is a pre make up base. I strongly recommended Cle De Peau Beaute pre makeup base. A little goes a long way. It evens out skin tone and at the same time adds radiance to your skin. Not to mention, it has SPF 19! A MUST HAVE!
2. Great eye shadow colors. I would go for M.A.C for the intense colors!
3. Contour cheeks with peach or skin tone colors. This will avoid any attention taken away from the eyes.
4. Finally, finish the look with pale lips. Line the lip with pale lip color and top it up with a neutral lip color.

Kerastased!
Two years ago, fi introduced me to Phyto, a botanical haircare brand from France. After a while, the voodoo magic is gone, at least for me. I am currently trying Kerastase in the following combination…

Specifique Bain Divalent Shampoo for Oily Scalps, Dry Hair / Nutritive Masquintense for Dry, Thick Hair / Nutritive Elixir Oleo-Relax for Dry, Rebellious Hair
Well, the emphasis is surely my dry hair. So far, the combination’s working. The shampoo keeps my scalp less oily while the rich masque softens my hair. For an easy fix in the morning, the elixir (like some potent immortality drug!) serum works to manage my hair and reduces the fizz.
